Animal Communication Stories
Judi always loved this story about Tank, and I wanted to share it with all of you.
One that comes to mind right off is a communication I had with a lovely black lab named Tank. Tank's companion had recently crossed over and his people were concerned regarding whether they should get Tank a new companion. The communication went something like this:
JB: Tank your people say that your companion recently crossed and they are concerned that you are lonely.
Tank: They said I was going to get a new companion and we went somewhere to get one but we came home without one.
Tank's people (TP): Oh my, we did try to adopt a yellow lab from the pound, but by the time we got there, it had already been adopted. We took Tank with us to let him decide if he liked the new dog, but we did not realize that he knew it.
JB: So Tank does this mean that you would like a new companion?
Tank: absolute, but I want to pick it out.
TP: We will definitely look into getting him one the. We are not planning on it right now, but we would like to know how Tank feels about us having a human baby in the future.
Tank: If they really feel like they need a companion then I guess it would be alright.
We discussed the normal things such as food, playing in the park, etc., then they asked if there was anything else that Tank would like to say.
Tank: Well yes, I do not understand the games they play.
TP: What games?
Tank: They play these games and then they get mad when I win.
JB: What kind of games Tank?
At this point Tank showed me the lady of the house placing a loaf of bread in the bread box and sliding it to the back of the cabinet top while saying "Now let's see you get that?"
Tank: And then she got really mad when I did.
Then he showed me the man placing a combination lock, one of those with the little buttons on it on the laundry room door and placing the trash inside while saying "I'll bet you can't get that open" and before he had left the room, Tank had the door open and had the trash.
At this point I was literally laughing so hard I had tears pouring and so were his people. Tank thought it was great games and that he was very good at it, but the people had no idea that they were laying down the gauntlet and he was literally picking it up and not only taking on the challenge but gallantly winning.
I must say they were wonderful about it and apologize to Tank swearing that they would be much more careful and not blame him for their mistakes. At the end of the conversation they again wanted to clarify that it would be okay with him if in the future they decided they needed a little companion they could get one, and he stated it would be fine so long as he got his first.
They kept their word and a few weeks later they did get Tank a wonderful boisterous companion they named Lucky and what one did not think up getting into the other did. The last I heard they had decided that the two of them was quite enough and had put off starting the family of two legged's.
